2012 Little Show Stoppers
Purpose:
Teach kids confidence and stage presence also provide fundamentals of singing and simple choreography. Each child will learn a variety of show tunes, and have a solo.
Cost:
$15 registration fee for practice cd and folder and t-shirt (one time only)
$35/month
Practice:
I think this semester we have enough girls to have two choices for practices. These will be Tues at 3:45 – 4:45pm OR Tues 5:00 – 6:00pm. Pick one NOT both. We will meet once a week for one hour. Parents may stay but I ask that you bring a book and wait in a car so the kids won’t be as distracted. I am starting February 7 and will end May 15 2012. Performances will be the following week and then we will take summer off and get ready for next semester. Also I think spring break falls in there and we will take off any school holidays.
Performances:
At the end of the semester we will do a few warm up performances at nursing homes and possibly some other venues. There will be one big parents and family performance at the end.
Costumes: For the performance there will be the Show Stoppers t-shirt and jeans as a base. There may be accessories that I will make that may cost a little extra but will not exceed $15 per child or if a mom is willing to trade sewing for a month’s tuition. We will decide closer to the performance date.
